This is a very nice original example of the very heavily illustrated softcover official guidebook to the exhibition DEUTSCHLAND with a striking Kurt Schmid-Ehmen eagle on the cover. The Deutschland Ausstellung was held from 18 July to 16 August 1936 at the exhibition halls of the broadcasting tower (Funkturm) in Berlin, Germany.

Held during the 1936 Summer Olympics, the DEUTSCHLAND exhibition was the brainchild of Nazi Minister for Public Enlightenment and Propaganda Dr. Joseph Goebbels and was a perfect opportunity to showcase the beauty and industriousness of Germany, as well as the incredible, undeniable successes achieved during the first three years of Adolf Hitler’s German Third Reich.

After an introduction by Dr. Goebbels there is a general overview of the Deutschland exhibition by Albert Wischek, the director of the Exhibition and Fair Office of Berlin, as well as an introduction to the staff that was involved in the organization of the Ausstellung.

Above, note that this advertising by WMF is in three languages, targeting international visitors to the DEUTSCHLAND exhibition.

The introduction is followed by a double-page spread for each of the Gaue or states that made up Nazi Germany, with a description of the area by the Gauleiter of each Gau. In 1936 Martin Mutschmann was the Gauleiter of Saxony, Fritz Wächtler in Gau Bayerische Ostmark, Joseph Bürckel in Gau Saarpfalz, Adolf Wagner in Gau München-Oberbayern, Wilhelm Kube in Gau Kurmark, Jakob Sprenger in Gau Hessen-Nassau, Fritz Sauckel in Gau Thüringen, Josef Terboven in Ruhrgau Essen and Albert Forster in Danzig, for example.
A final section in the book lists all the exhibitors as well as advertising (some even in English) from many of the greatest industrial firms and service organizations in the country. Firms such as Deutsche Reichsbahn, WMF, ALA, AEG, Tobis, Hohner, Mix & Genest, NSU motorcycles, Opel, Femina, Exakta, Erika, Vansaack, Hochtief, Deutsche Bank, Askania, Sekurit, Siemens, Dresdner Bank, etc.

Throughout this Nazi exhibition guidebook there are floor plans of the Ausstellung to show where each of these entities had their booths or displays.
