This kind of Third Reich ephemera was never meant to survive for 77 years. The majority of these Deutsche Reichsbahn price lists were discarded the moment updates were published.

The Deutsche Reichsbahn or German State Railways published this 4-¾ x 6-¾ inc, 38 page soft cover book in Vienna to announce the new prices to Austrians that had only the month before become citizens of the Grossdeutsches Reich of Adolf Hitler. The book is dated 15 June 1938 and contains new prices, rules and regulations for regular railway tickets, SS tickets, group tickets, group tickets on special trains, weekly tickets for government workers and manual laborers, tickets for schoolchildren and university students, tourists, members of the Wehrmacht and war wounded, expecting mothers, musicians and artists, foreigners living in Germany, etc.

Especially interesting is the separate section on special ticket prices (and a list of those who qualified) for members of the SA, SS-Verfügungstruppen and SS-Totenkopfverbände, Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD), Leaders at Nazi Ordensburgen and travelers on Kraft durch Freude or Strength through Joy trains to KdF vacation destinations, even special prices for hops pickers and people helping out with the harvest! The last four pages contain price information for baggage, persons traveling with dogs and express freight.

This example is complete and in very good condition and still has a Vienna zone map with it! We have never seen another example of this rare piece anywhere!
