Das Kommandobuch by Carl Siwinna is a 4-¼ x 6 inch, 290+ page well-illustrated Nazi handbook with chapters on Formations of a Rifleman Company, Marching, Weapons and Equipment such as the MG34 machine gun, mortar, Luger pistol, MP38 sub-machine gun, Anti-Armor Rifle, Zeltbahn, Service in the Field, the Development of a Firefight, Attacking the Enemy, Special Circumstances (during darkness, in cities, etc.), Air Protection and Cooperation with Pilots (close-air support), Armored Vehicles and Cooperation with Armored Forces, etc.
This is the 25th expanded edition of Die Schützenkompanie des Infanterieregiments from 1941. This edition was reworked by Oberst von Heygendorff as a result of new Wehrmacht regulations as well as practical suggestions as a result of service experience. It was published by Mars-Verlag Carl Siwinna of Berlin in October 1941.
